Sigmind AI beacons solution to prevent traffic congestion

In Bangladesh, most of the traffic congestion is caused by uncontrolled driving behavior, sudden lane changes and non-motorized vehicles on main roads. It is impossible for the traffic authorities to fine each violator individually. Because it needs enough traffic police deployment on the road. Today in the age of artificial intelligence (AI), simple solutions are at hand for traffic violators by automatically monitoring the roads, collecting evidence and eliminating errors. Sigmind AI has developed a customizable solution of indigenous technology to prevent traffic jams. This startup company has also created an automatic management based on algorithm by analyzing data. For this reason, this team of 22 people has created three softwares by analyzing the data of 6 main roads of the capital, starting from the highways of 30 places in the capital, sitting at the Janata Tower of the capital. These include - AI detectors for moving vehicle number detection through IP cameras, AI solutions for traffic flow analysis and artificial intelligence classified volume count software. All three solutions are being used as pilot projects by the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA). These solutions, developed at SIGMIND Labs, can identify suspicious activity by analyzing video streams in real-time. This experimental program is ending this month. Abu Anas Shubham, founder and CEO of Sigmind Labs Limited, expects this solution to be used on a large scale soon. He told DigiBangla, “We have seen by counting the classified volume, actually there is no traffic jam in Bangladesh. All that exists is chaos. In addition to removing this chaos, the three solutions of road pressure management artificial intelligence that we are experimenting with are getting good results.” He said that currently 1 IP camera per lane is being used on 6 main roads of Dhaka, including the Prime Minister's Office, Airport Road and Padma Bridge bound Express Highway, to detect traffic flow, vehicle number detection and mismanagement. Shubham said, “Our Traffic Flow is an Intelligent Traffic Management System (iTMS) developed by Sigmind.ai for automatic traffic monitoring from street cameras. It can detect, classify and calculate traffic flow on both sides of the road while capturing speed and lane position information. It also analyzes vehicle license plate and record images from database to present real image vehicle driver's identification documents. It is worth noting that, artificial intelligence (AI) based research group Sigmind Labs Limited signed an agreement in 2019 with Solace Innovations, a technology company based on surveillance solutions, for smart surveillance solutions based on artificial intelligence (AI) in the market. Solace Innovations' popular surveillance service is known as 'Peep the Place'. On the other hand, Sigmind Labs Limited's popular service is known as 'WatchCam'. Beyond traditional surveillance solutions, Sigmind Labs Ltd.'s AI-based mobile app and surveillance monitoring technology solutions are capable of identifying suspicious activity through real-time video stream analysis. This information may also be shared with the user through email, SMS and other digital media. Although Sigmind's AI solution was created to monitor highways, traffic circles, parking areas, fuel stations, etc., it is currently being used for round-the-clock monitoring to ensure the security of any organization, including individuals, homes, corporate sectors, public and private sectors.
